Grant Award of £200 to Izzy to attend GB training camp
Izzy Tolometti from Garioch Gymnastics took part in the British Junior Challenge Cup competition in June 2014 where she placed SILVER overall as well as winning a SILVER medal for Beam and BRONZE for Bars. The top three placed gymnasts from this competition were subsequently invited to train with the British Junior Squad in August.Being asked to British squad to train with the best gymnasts and coaches in the country was an amazing learning opportunity for both Izzy and myself, both in terms of expert coaching advice and watching the work ethic and training schedule of the top girls. We have both come back with new ideas for programming and conditioning which in turn will benefit the whole club. FUTURE- Izzy has Uk School Games representing Team Scotland, maintain her place in Scottish squad and represent her country at more International events. Long term the goal is Commonwealth Games 2018.

£250 Award for Banff based Surfing Club
I have detailed below the importance of what your Grant has achieved for the Club. We are already on Moray Schools approved list of providers but previous coaches have moved on or started full time jobs etc so we desperately needed at least one qualified Surf Coach & Beach Lifeguard . Since Shaun's Course we have been successfully assessed by the National Governing body SurfingGB and if we can afford the £400 fees we will become the first ever Approved SurfingGB Surf School in Scotland. This will be a huge step forward and encourage participants far and wide to learn here in Aberdeenshire.
