Coaches Attend Athletics Course.
The course will help the coaches redesign, re develop and re invigorate traditional warm up techniques with more specific movement based exercises which will not only engage the athletes but also allow the coaches to maximise the amount of time they have with their athletes. Adding important value to sessions from the beginning to the end and allowing clear progression.
Successfull Athletics Coaches Course
18 Candidates from across Aberdeenshire attended the Scottish Athletics Foundations Course in Aberdeen on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June. The course focused on the importance of basic physical competencies and fundamental movement skills required to build athletes from the ground up. This ensures they are robust enough to cope with the increased training requirements to reach their potential in the sport. A grant of £200 was given to the NESAP toward the course.

Travel Grant for Buchan Riding Club
Rachel and I qualified in August to take part at the British Riding Clubs, Dressage to Music Championships. These are held the first weekend in October at Bury Farm, Leighton Buzzard, Beds. The standard at the Championships improves each year, wand this year there were 19 pairs taking part in the finals. We were the 3rd last pair to perform, and were delighted to achieve 8th place with our horses ‘Ivan’ and ‘Fox Mulder’ The Grant is of great help, as the costs involved in travelling are very high
Carmen Gammie of NERC grant award
My trip to Biarritz I was thrilled to bits to be selected to be part of Team GB to compete at the CDI*** in Biarritz in France. I would like to thank the Aberdeenshire Sports Council for awarding me a grant – transporting a horse to the South of France is very expensive but it is important to get exposure from a variety of international judges and you can only get this exposure by competing internationally. This grant really helped with my expenses for attending this event and the experience was a very positive one which has laid a good foundation for future development in 2015.
