Female Athlete of the Year 18+ Category

The new award sponsored by Satori Martial Arts (Grampian) recognises the sporting achievements of an individual at any level. Whether they have shown outstanding potential at a new sport, have achieved new personal bests or perhaps broken records. Achievements must have been reached in 2017.
Awards Evening Categories

A total of 10 Awards will be presented to the winners in each of the following categories on th e 16th March 2018 *Sports Person of the year (aged 18 or over) *Disability Sport Award *Young Male Sports Person of the Year (U18 at 1/1/18) *Young Female Sports Person of the Year (U18 at 1/1/18) *Adult Male 18+ (new category). *Adult Female 18+ (new category). *Coach of the year Award *Team of the year Award (Performance) *Club of the year Award (Development) *Service to Sport award (Please note that previous winners of this award are not eligible for Nomination)
Sports Council Awards Evening Nominations

The Awards Evening will be held on the 16th March 2018 at Garioch Sports Centre Inverururie. Nominations close on Friday the 16th February and we had 70 nominations in 2017 https://online.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/sport-nominations/
Sports Council Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the sports council committee will be on wednesday the 6th December at Meldrum Academy 7pm-9pm.
National Award

At the SALSC National Conference in Perth last weekend Aberdeenshire Sports Council was selected as the Winner of the overall Sports Council of the Year for Scotland. Chairman Alan Still, Vice Chair Jackie Smith and Treasurer Jim Conn attended the event and were delighted when we were selected as the Winners.
