Positive Coaching Scotland Contact

Transforming Scottish youth sport so sport can transform Scotland’s youth Delivered through a series of workshops by Active Schools, Sport Development and agencies such as the SFA & SRU, Positive Coaching Scotland is a cultural change programme developed by sportscotland, the national agency for sport that is designed to teach young people life lessons and skills through sport. It is important that all the key influencers in a young person’s life, coaches, parents, sport leaders and teachers are all involved in delivering the PCS ethos so that young people can develop in sport and also have skills for life that they can use outside of the playing field. Through a series of workshops PCS will engage these key influencers in a practical coaching philosophy which nurtures a ‘can-do’ attitude and a greater self belief in school age children which focuses on using sport to help and support children’s learning and the development of their life skills through hard work and the establishment of a growth mentality. If you are interested in coaching the Positive Coaching Scotland way, would like to learn more about being a Positive Sport Parent or in a Sports Club committee position and would like to create a positive ethos in your club, please get in touch with your local contact below: Aberdeenshire Council:Kevin Davies Tel: 07917000107 email: kevin.davies@aberdeenshire.gov.uk Further details can be found at: http://www.sportscotland.org.uk/PCS
