I was delighted to be awarded a grant from the Aberdeenshire Sports Council to help with my table tennis. I train with the Scottish Table Tennis Youth Squad and have played for Scotland twice. Some of the grant will be used to pay for a weekend table tennis training camp in May run by Table Tennis Scotland in Drumchapel. I am going to use the rest of the money to help me replace the rubbers on my bat in time for the new table tennis season. I am currently ranked in the top ten in Scotland in the Cadet age group. Next season, I move up an age group and my goals are to be a top ten Junior player, to play in an English table tennis tournament and to continue to improve my backhand.

The grant will support my participation in this and the further development I receive will enhance my skills as part of Alford Basketball Club and as a Youth Coach for Grampian Flyers Basketball club.
